The Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) values the privacy of individuals and will only use information provided by registered or logged in users of this website for the purposes for which it was given.
Except where users specifically sign up to receive further communications from the Association for International Broadcasting, information provided by those who register on this site, or those who log in using a connection from another site, will ONLY be used for the purposes of validating votes in the People’s Choice award for “Best Coverage of Climate Change” and ensuring that each user has only voted once. The information will not be used for any other purpose by the AIB. Any information gathered will be deleted within one month of the announcement of the result of the People’s Choice and the award for “Best Coverage of Climate Change”. It will not be distributed to any other parties except partners who work with AIB on the voting and its validation and such partners are subject to the same undertakings as the AIB, described above.
Where registered users explicitly sign up for further information from the AIB, AIB will keep this information secure and only use it to provide requested information. AIB will not pass on user information to third parties without the explicit consent of the user.
