The shortlist  for the AIBs 2014, the tenth annual international awards for the best factual content across TV, radio and online, includes entries from every continent and truly represents the pinnacle of international factual broadcasting.

Major international broadcasters such as BBC, Al Jazeera,  CNN, France 24, Deutsche Welle and RT sit in the list alongside regional leaders such as Channel NewsAsia, NDTV and SABC as well as innovative production houses such as Atlantic Productions, Blue Chalk Media, Clover Films, IMG Productions, Pyramedia, Sunset+Vine, Wananchi Programming and Webdoc.fr.

Photo of the AIBs 2013“AIB is immensely privileged to be able to showcase such an outstanding range of factual productions,” said Simon Spanswick, CEO of the Association for International Broadcasting.  “With work from 25 countries included in the shortlist, our independent, international judging panel of media experts now has the challenging task of determining the winners. We’ll be keeping all results secret until our gala awards ceremony in London in November.”

The awards will be presented at a gala evening in London on 5 November, hosted by the BBC’s Matthew Amroliwala, and attended by executives, producers, editors and journalists from broadcasters and production houses around the world. The event takes place in the stunning LSO St Luke’s in the City of London.
