Said Bacho – Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer – Snell Advanced Media (SAM)

A well-connected and respected broadcast media industry executive, Said has more than 20 years of broadcast industry knowledge and expertise. In 2016, he has joined Snell Advanced Media (SAM) as Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer based at Newbury, UK. 

Prior to that, Said was the Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, & Africa (EMEA) at Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, based at Stockley Park, UK. From 2013 till 2016, Said has been focused on strengthening Grass Valley’s business in developed & emerging markets in EMEA, as well as delivering sustained profitable growth and developing new accounts & channel partners across all Grass Valley product lines.

Prior to joining Grass Valley, Said served as Vice President, Middle East & South Asia at Harris Broadcast (now Imagine Communications & GatesAir) where he led sales, services, marketing, and operations in 30 countries across Eurasia, North Africa, the Gulf, CIS, & Indian subcontinent. At Harris Broadcast from 2005 till 2013, Said managed the evaluation and activation of business opportunities for emerging markets as well as established and sustained strategic partnerships, key accounts, and channels. 

Prior to Harris, Said managed Pinnacle Systems / Avid business in MENA from year 2000 to 2005, and worked at TekVideo and Future Television in sales & technical management roles respectively from 1993 to 2000.

Said completed the Executive Education Program at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, US and holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BEE) from the American University of Beirut.
