Before entering the broadcasting industry, Monica Fritz worked as a professional photographer for 30 years. Working with 6 News from it’s beginning she has directed, produced and hosted various cultural programs, in both Turkish and English. Programs included a travel program called, “Monica Yollarda” (On the Road with Monica), and “Yasam”, a series of interviews with professionals in the arts. She also was the booking producer for the English News with Clint Deloatch.
At the moment Fritz produces and directs the documentary-style program, “Out and About Istanbul”, an all encompassing cultural journey through the back streets of the great city she calls home.
Fritz is a native New Yorker, and left in 1986 to live in Italyand later on in the Middle East.
