He negotiates deals that serve tens of millions of people and he creates points of discovery for the BBC in highly competitive, challenging and fast-moving media markets. Steve also manages commercial, regulatory and operational relationships with broadcasters, mobile operators and governments in the region.
Steve previously enjoyed success as a writer, producer and creative team leader, specialising in marketing-led promotions and station sound. His work has been broadcast by every BBC radio network. He served as a World Service editor and project director and continues to contribute to the executive development scheme BBC Media Leaders.
Close to home, Steve co-founded the volunteer-run Shine Radio in Hampshire. Named digital community radio station of the year, the project uses radio skills to build the personal confidence of young people and provides a source of companionship and local connection to isolated and lonely adults in a rural community.
