Jenny Buckland is the CEO of The Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF).  In this role, Jenny has positioned the ACTF as national children’s media and policy hub, performing a wide range of functions in children’s media.  Jenny originated the proposal for an Australian children’s digital channel which culminated in the establishment of ABC3 in 2009.

Formerly the General Manager and Marketing Manager of the ACTF, Jenny also has extensive experience in television distribution, business, financial and legal affairs.

Originally a lawyer in private practice, Jenny established the ACTF’s international export division.  Under her, sales of the ACTF’s programs doubled.  She pioneered sales in new and major markets such as France, Japan and Canada.  In the process the ACTF won a TV World marketing award for best Marketing Campaign by an Independent Producer.  The ACTF has twice won the Governor of Victoria Export Award in the Arts & Entertainment category and the Australian Export Award for Best Exporter in the Arts & Entertainment category.
