Antonia Howard

Antonia Howard is an accomplished media and communications professional based in Sierra Leone, with over a decade of experience in journalism, broadcasting, and content production. She began her career at Africa Young Voices (AYV), rising to become Director of News & Current Affairs, and has since reported for international outlets like the BBC, where she has contributed stories that spotlight Sierra Leone’s unique context on the global stage. In 2022, she was shortlisted for the esteemed BBC Komla Dumor Award in recognition of her commitment to authentic African storytelling.

Antonia is also the co-founder of Black Lion Production, a multimedia creative agency that blends strategic communications with compelling content creation—ranging from podcasts to visual storytelling—to help brands and organizations amplify their impact.

With a strong passion for writing, the arts, and social change, she uses media as a tool to spark dialogue, elevate underrepresented voices, and foster inclusive narratives that drive meaningful progress.
