Fiona Crack
Fiona Crack is Deputy Global Director of BBC News and Head of Global Journalism for the BBC World Service. The World Service provides news and current affairs in 42 languages services including Arabic, Russian, Persian and Hindi and global journalism teams produce and distribute multilingual content including our investigative strand BBC Eye. Fiona has worked as a journalist and editor across the BBC’s national and international platforms including bbc.com, the BBC News channel, Newshour and Panorama. A passionate advocate for audiences of need and of representation, she created the series BBC 100 Women in 2013 and in 2021 launched Dars, an multiplatform learning programme for children missing out on formal education, inspired by the exclusion of girls from school in Afghanistan.
