Flora Gregory’s career spans over thirty years in the broadcast and the independent sectors. Her areas of expertise include curating documentaries, editorial and strategic leadership, team management, documentary production, commissioning, international co-production, acquisition, pitching, editorial standards, creative brainstorming and channel launches. Always on a mission to uncover and mentor new talent and bring stories made by local filmmakers around the world to an international audience.
Flora has been a juror on numerous awards and pitching selection panels, and a visiting speaker at various universities.
The positions Flora has held are Director of the Edinburgh International Television Festival (1990 – 92), the first chair of the Production Managers’ Association (1991), Programming Manager of Discovery Europe’s The Learning Channel during launch years (1992/3). She conceived and ran Unreported World, Channel 4’s long running foreign affairs strand (2000-2005). Founding Commissioning Editor, Witness, AJE’s Flagship documentary strand (2005-2014).
