The 2013 AIBs awards ceremony, to be held in the magnificent surroundings of LSO St Luke’s close to London’s “Silicon Roundabout”, will feature one of the AIBs’ traditional “in conversation” pieces. The guest this year is the photojournalist Giles Duley whose inspiring work on humanitarian issues and the consequences of conflict is the subject of one of the entries to this year’s awards.
“A signature of the AIBs is our conversations with figures who have a unique insight to global broadcasting or who made an outstanding contribution to international media”, said Simon Spanswick, CEO of the AIB. “We are therefore delighted to welcome Giles Duley to this year’s awards. Giles’s personal experiences make his a powerful voice bringing to the world’s attention the sufferings of those caught up in violent conflicts throughout the world”
