Kathryn Jein
Kathryn Jein is Head of Production at Flicker, an award-winning production company – (2022 Broadcast Emerging Indie of the Year and 2021 Edinburgh TV Festival Small Indie of the year). At Flicker Kathryn heads up production on documentaries and factual programmes for all the major UK broadcasters including; ‘Ellie Simmonds: Finding my Secret Family’ (ITV) ‘Wayne Couzens: Killer in Plain Sight’ (C5), ‘Ellie Simmonds: A World Without Dwarfism?’ (BBC), ‘The Truth About Police Stop & Search’ with Jermaine Jenas (Channel4) and the double National Television Award winning ‘Kate Garraway: Finding Derek’ and ‘Caring for Derek’ (ITV).
Kathryn began her career over twenty years ago on the BBC’s prestigious Production Management Trainee scheme, assigned to the Documentaries department, and spending a large part of her career within the BBC working across productions in History, Science and popular documentaries.
Kathryn has recently judged the RTS West Awards in the UK and participated in a panel session at the Edinburgh Television Festival about the future of Indies.
